Welcome to the future, baby.
This makes me incredibly happy, cause the music industry doesn't deserve my money if they don't respect their artists (or the listeners) and give us crap like "Bye Bye Bye". I'll buy a CD from just about any struggling artist -- and the CDs are usually better anyways. Hey, radio reception is also free; why hasn't the industry shut them down yet?
I sit here in my office at my Mac funded by the Socialist Party of France, a state that actually listens to its people occassionally and sometimes managed to have a great public debate about subjects people actually have to think about, and I celebrate a small victory over the greed of big corporations. Yes, I realize the debate is not so black and white as this. Whatever. It makes me unreasonably happy that real music is turning out to be just as popular as bubblegum pop.
