Why do I always forget that holidays are so stressful? I seem to be doing nothing but worrying. I finally got to sleep last night, but I woke up at five this morning, worrying again.
1) I'll be gone all next week, and I thought the neighbor would be able to feed my kitty and give him some love for the four days Sir Now Appearing will also be gone. This is not so. I have no idea what to do. I don't know whether boarding places will take him, because he's a carrier of the feline leukemia virus.
2) My boss has this crazy plan that we are going to print Christmas cards for our holiday appeal. Yes, print by hand. On our printers that do not work. And now Staples tells me they cannot have the blank cards to me until Thursday afternoon. I am going to be an absolute nutcase over this for the next three days. I've been fighting with our crappy fundraising database software and have been reduced to adding people by hand because it's FASTER.
3) I need glasses because mine are all scratched up and five years old and why are all glasses expensive and ugly?
4) I need to get to the bank before I leave to open an account, and of course they're only open business hours, which means I need to take time off while I'm also freaking out about the stupid fundraiser.
5) I'd like to sign up for Yuletide but I honestly do not have a few hours anywhere in the next few days to wade through the mountain of eligible fandoms and the form that everyone speaks about in muttered tones. I don't have a single unplanned hour anytime before I get on the plane on Sunday.

Date: 2010-11-17 03:08 pm (UTC)I live in Greenbelt. It's accessible by bus, though not quite as much as one might wish! Jax is very affectionate and loves visitors. If you'd like to meet him, I can be home either Thursday or Friday nights and show you around.
Thank you! I will feel much better knowing that someone can keep an eye out for him.

I've got a car and I haven't anything going on Thursday or Friday, so let me know when is convenient. 7pm-ish is good either day. Which days is Jax going to be alone?
