Public Service Announcement
Mar. 5th, 2004 07:34 pmI want an LotR icon that says "My fandom hasn't read the book". Because it's annoying me muchly. I don't care how difficult it is (which isn't very), if you're going to write fanfic about the universe that takes place outside of (ie after, before, etc.) movie canon, then you should know the universe. It's a good book. An exceptionally good book. And if the book is too hard for you, frankly, your writing is probably going to suck. That's just the way it is. (If you're just dabbling in the fandom, this does not apply to you. But anyone seriously into the LotR fandom should do some basic research. Pleeeeeeeeaaase. Think of the hobbits.)
In other news, the copy editors of the Sophian need to learn the difference between "effect" and "affect" before I take them seriously. Oh, and stop reporting absolute tripe.
Also, am still crushing on Melissa. *sigh* I'd thought I'd gotten that out of my system writing In Her Head.
