Hours later, I am still giggling over Billy Crystal describing Jack Sparrow as "a slightly gay pirate".

And, in the last hour, I have come up with the perfect hobbitslash story. One that I would be willing to write and that doesn't conflict with canon. I might even write it, if hell freezes over. And in ten years, after the fangirls have left and I have my fandom back, I might even post it.

Which reminds me, I totally need to read the books again. It's been two years, and the Silmarillion just isn't the same.
