All in all, a good day
Feb. 20th, 2004 02:02 amNo Dominic for Zana. :( But I did get 6 calc problems done--yeah, so maybe it took four hours, but they're done. Kinda.
Bridge! 'Twas fun. I don't know how to bid, so I just kinda made it up. Skipped the crazy-lady lecture, though second-hand reports describe her as half-intelligent, just burned, and really I want to sing Phil Och's "Love Me, I'm a Liberal" at the top of my lungs to all the silly sheep who can't think for themselves. That being most of the American population, I don't think they could all hear me, and they wouldn't get it anyways.
Am insane.
Am okay with that, strangely enough.
Now have fourteen books on tape out from Forbes. :) Am still 400+ pages behind for my Tuesday class. Ah, well.
Mandy and Sally did their dialogues talk today, and I went for moral support. We will be moving the math exhibit from the Kahn Institute over to the math forum sometime in early March. Dunno how I got drafted into this, but I did. I made a snarky comment about "tying knots in string for a final project" and Mandy reminded me that I wrote a children's book for my final project, which isn't much better.
Oh! Math quotes of today:
Jim Henle: Tea forever!
Me, to Sally: I get it! It makes sense now! Volume is direction!
Me, to Sally: Where the fuck did "i" come from? [a variable in a math problem]
Sally: You're 22 and you don't know the answer to that?
And Kami is the most snuggle-able person I know. I mean, besides Maegan and Jane and Beth and Aprille and half a dozen other people I know. Got to snuggle Kami tonight, so it was a good night, despite teh eval calc.
Slept through my first class this morning--well, not really, just depression and lack of sleep meant I didn't have the energy to go. Saw my professor later in the day; he said "Hi"; I said "Hi" back and walked on past before it hit me just a second too late that I should really apologize and talk to him about auditing the class instead of taking it for credit. *headdesk* I'm not used to being the student who flakes.
Am going to the movies with
lycaste tomorrow! *hop and skip* Yay!!
I am way too awake for this hour.
Am bleeding. From the head. Is that bad?
