There are a lot of actors and actresses that I admire because they are good at what they do. There are a lot of actors and actresses that I am attracted to because they look the way they do. There are not, however, very many I would be especially interested in knowing personally. Viggo Mortensen, though, I admire as both an actor and a person.

lycaste and the Kate and I are going to watch Wilde tonight. I have been writing the short story for my class, and it is difficult. Exploring Darcy's mind is difficult, especially when there are aspects of her mind I don't want to share with the class. It would be like betraying a friend, kind of, and also like betraying myself.

One of these days, I should write a character who is the exact opposite of me. Thus I would be able to keep a clear line between myself and my character.

Definitely agree on you with that one. Everything I've found, about him, his books, interviews, and just in general makes me think that he's teh sort of guy that I'd just love to sit down and talk with.

Not to mention that I'd love to get his books or see his photo/painting exhibits.

I wish I worked in Neilson acquisitions... we would be getting lost of indie films by LotR actors and lots of Viggo Mortensen's books. And the occassional sociology or psychology book as well, I suppose, for the sake of the poor students who have to take seminars. But LotR comes first.

Yup. Supposedly Viggo did a Polish movie somewhere along the line. I really want to see his early work. Some of it is so damned hard to find. *growls*
And Perceval Press is selling his books for $30 or more.. *whimpers* Might have to wait until birthday for that...
