Jan. 10th, 2003 12:40 pmMmmm... for some reason, snow in Paris is much more romantic today. Probably because M. Bloom gave me four hundred euros and a space heater for the computer lab. I hope he doesn't make me give the money back when I tell him I can't take the Renaissance Art class that I spent the money travelling Italy to prepare for. But dude, I learned loads about art. I know who Caravaggio is now; I even have freaking opinions on him!
Still procrastinating.... finished one Newsweek, half of the other to go, then maybe I'll write the paper that was due back in December. Yeah, right. What's that GreenDay song? "I got no motivation" something like that. And this awful thing in my throat, and my sinuses swelling, and the pharmacist won't give me DRUGS cause I've had this "cold" for four months now. No, I won't go to the doctor. Don't be silly. It's just a cold. 'Sides, every single second of my time is booked between now and January 31st. Which is why I'm sitting here updating my livejournal, which no one reads. "call me pathetic, call me what you will" What's up with the GreenDay lyrics today?
I don't want to write my paper, Mommy, I want to read Newsweek articles about Cyprus. No, really. And I realized the other day that I listen to the French equivalent of NPR. I always knew I was a geek, but this is bordering on nerdy-ness. Ah, well. I can always call myself an intellectual.
Going to see the French "projects" tomorrow. My host mother nearly had a heart attack when I told her my prof was taking us to Evry.
The library is a mess and I'm the librarian and I have no time to clean it up. And the silly French don't have the concept of bookends! What kind of advanced civilization doesn't have bookends?!
Must find another means of procrastination. More later, after I have exhausted that.
