zana16Have spent entire day doing little more than downloading episodes of TNG. Will stop when classes start so as not to hog the meagre bandwidth Smith is cheap enough to imply they "give" us, but for now I feel no guilt whatsoever.
I feel like such a geek! And two of my favorite peoples are coming back tomorrow. Life is goodness.
Also, ran over teh Plotbunny of DOOOOOM, then cooked and ate it. Yummy. Although, weirdly, my first novel has been bugging me lately for a complete rewrite. I wrote it in seventh grade, which is no excuse for the Mary Sue-ness of the main character, but she has grown with me and would be fascinating to write now that I can see her (my) faults. Also, I no longer believe in the whole One True Soulmate thing, so I can give the Katrina-John dynamic the attention it deserves. Must research opium use in the 1860s in NYC, and also develop the subplot of power web/murder mystery that was the only thing really tying the narrative together.
Interesting. Have just realized that I don't remember the name of one the main characters in this story. This could be a problem, since I'd really like to not screw him over completely when I write him this time. Ah, yes. Ryan. Will probably want to change this name, as it never completely fit, and shaped the character in ways I didn't particularly want him to go.
Have read over a little of it. Angst Central. Jesus Christ on a pogo stick, did I really write that badly? At least now when I write something that I think sucks, I will know that it isn't as bad as it could be. Thank God I have grown a lot since age 13.
