Jan. 13th, 2004 09:12 pmWatched Priscilla, Queen of the Desert last night with the Julie. Elrond in a dress!!!! Damn Hugo Weaving is hawt.
Sallybird is back, and I got to see Kami at dinner. We went on an expedition to find Laura's room to water her plants. We walked right past her room several times, even having read the name on the door, because I = flake. They don't seem to be dead, which is good.
Am absolutely horrendous at playing bridge. Fear I will never understand bidding. Jonathan Hirsch is a funny little man, though. I heart him.
Bought my books today. Almost two hundred dollars. Acckkkk! And I didn't even get all of them. Will not be taking the SF class since it requires 11 books. Marjorie's class also requires 11, two or three of which I've already read, so perhaps I will just audit the class and not buy the books. Not like I need the credits or the stress, anyways. This will be the second class I'll be auditing (along with the "teaching math" graduate class, which meets FRIDAY AFTERNOON, for fuck's sake). Am also going to try to teach myself quantum mechanics this semester. And also, watch a bunch of classic films while I still have access to a university library. And finish the novel. And tutor. And apply for jobs. Really. I can do this on top of my real classes. Why are you laughing?
