Jan. 5th, 2004 10:27 pmAnybody know how to pick locks? I can key the doors in Talbot, but the diningroom door is different and our microwave is locked in there. The Jane and I dismembered a few bobby pins (bobby pins seem so not me, for some reason) trying to pick the lock a la tons of bad spy movies, then opted to make popcorn not in my airpopper (why be sane, when you could possibly burn the house down) but by emptying the contents of the microwave popcorn bag into a pan on the hotplate upstairs. Good times.

Date: 2004-01-05 08:19 pm (UTC)The reason I ask is because of a hilarious situation where this old lady at a nursing home, before she "came" to the home, had ordered one of those built in wall safes that are like bomb shelters that are hidden in the wall. But when they finally got it open, all she had in there was a microwave and like a minifridge full of spoiled milk.
It was sort of sad, but still amusing in some ways.
