Aug. 13th, 2003 03:31 pmDue to a shitty dialup used by no less than the six computers and laptops of the two households (ie, when my dad or granddad or grandmom or Meredith is doing work, I can't get online), I am in the public library, where at least the connection holds for more than five minutes but the system has judged most of my surfing as "inappropriate". And here I was only surfing the stuff I figured was appropriate--alternative news, freedom of choice activism, etc. Well, this is Texas.
I have "This is the Song that Never Ends" stuck in my head. This has the potential to get really old really fast.
I am wearing a shirt that reads "The Flying Hamster of DOOM Rains Coconuts On Your Pitiful City". This cracked me up to no end, so I bought it, but I have no idea what it's from. Anyone?
Will go now try to browbeat them into letting me take out more than 5 books on tape at a time. I mean, really. I go through five in two days. And I'll look for the new Tamora Pierce book. And make the most of the airconditioned space until they kick me out.
