Poor Janaki...if you'd just asked me more about mine, well...poor Janaki. You got a pretty good answer, even though I've only had one situation where such extreme measures were necessay. That was the first time I'd used my DVD player, and I'd neglected to format it. Anyway, mac customer service is pretty good, so call them too. Love you lots :)

Other than that, do a cold reboot. It'll hate you, but there's nothing else for it.
