Thank you thank you thank you for writing me a story! I am so excited about these characters, I can't even tell you. This is only my second Yuletide, so it's the first in which I have any idea of what to expect.
Optional-details-are-optional, but I babble a little below just in case it helps. I will love anything that involves my favorite characters, so no worries.
I love gen, het, slash, anything; any rating, too. Deathfic is okay though not preferred, but non-con is not a story I want as a gift; mention of it is fine (and canonical for several of the characters) but nothing on-screen please. I prefer happy endings -- but I want you to write the story you want to write!
Tale of the Five, Diane Duane - Segnbora
I would like a story about Segnbora being awesome. I am not picky about the manner of her awesomeness, or who she is awesome *with*; I'd be happy with a story about her being awesome with Eftgan or Herewiss or Hasai or Freelorn or any combination thereof, or a story of her being awesome all by herself (and now that sounds slightly dirty...), or any story of your choosing. Segnbora is one of my favorite characters ever, and there should be lots of fic about her because she is awesome. The end.
Hustle - Ash Morgan
I really can't say exactly why I love Ash so much. It has something to do with his crooked smile, and the fact that he Gets Shit Done. He is so quietly competent at what he does, every episode; he never misses a detail. And then you add in his guilt about what happened to June -- and his relief that it didn't happen to him -- and he knows that this family he's created is crazy and dangerous and addictive and he wouldn't give them up for anything -- and I love him to bits.
I would love any sort of story about Ash. If you want to write relationship, I think he pairs well with Stacie -- though she'd have to initiate it because Ash is too professional to do more than look from the sidelines -- and then of course he wouldn't think she'd be interested; Ash is getting old and Stacie has her thing with Mickey, whatever it is, and really he's always believed that Stacie was out of all of their leagues... There would be more than a little insecurity for him to get through!
I could also see him paired with Albert or Mickey. I'm not fond of Danny or the Kennedys, so I'm going to ask you not to pair him with them.
And the this-is-a-little-out-there suggestion: when I watched Law & Corruption (season 3, episode 6), there was the scene where Ghost and Ash met, and they immediately hit it off because there was this professional respect; they're both experts and again, that quiet competence, and I realized that this is what slash goggles are when I started shipping them in my head. So, I'd love to see that play out, or get Ash's thoughts on the way things went down in the episode, or what happened afterwards.
Arcane Society, Amanda Quick - Adam Harrow & Mr. Pierce
Four words: Cross-dressing lesbian crimelords. Seriously, could you ask for more? These are bit characters in a series of romance novels, and by the end of the last one I read, Mr. Pierce was running the entire London criminal underworld. They are lovers, and they are part of the Janus Club, a gentlemen's club for women who live as men. The author writes them as cross-dressers, not trans, but feel free to put whatever spin on it you want.
CROSS-DRESSING LESBIAN CRIMELORDS. What's not to love??
You don't need to read Amanda Quick's entire oeuvre -- or indeed any of them. Here are the books that contain Janus Club references: Second Sight, The Third Circle, and Burning Lamp. If you search text for "Janus", "Pierce," and "Harrow", you will get their entire story. Like I said, bit characters; they exist to help Plucky Heroine du Jour (and if sometimes the nature of that help includes arson, all the better).
I will love whatever you write me, seriously I will -- but I signed up for Yuletide specifically to nominate this. However, you will not be disappointing me if you don't write it; my love for any fic you give me in these three fandoms will be equal (which is to say, boundless).
