I'm going to give it a try. He did say last appointment that he'd have to see me again before extending the script, but perhaps that's not set in stone. Can't hurt, can it?
No, and if you explain that you can't afford to see him and pay him at the same time he might help you out by either by billing your for the visit later or something. Who knows. *crosses fingers*
Last appointment he told me he'd have to see me again if I wanted the prescription extended, but I might give it a try anyways.
I have health insurance, but an insanely high deductible. I can't afford the cost of an appointment. Perhaps if I don't tell the free clinic I have health insurance, they'll treat me?
Thank you for the suggestion. I wouldn't have thought of the free clinic option.
Even if you have health insurance it is possible to qualify for Free Care. If you find a health clinic or a hospital that works with lower-income populations they'll often have a financial representative you can meet with who can help figure out your options.
