Aug. 15th, 2005 01:24 pmI went shopping, like real clothes shopping (this doesn't happen often) the other day, finally I live in a city where there is a Torrid but damn I don't have the money... Still, bought these boots, which are not perfect but pretty close, and half a really sexy outfit to go clubbing in. I couldn't quite justify spending $99 on the awesome jeans, knowing that they wouldn't last more than nine months, so the store kept those and I'm still looking for the bottom half of my partyin' outfit...
Had dinner the other night with Heather and her roommate and a college friend, lots of fun. We decided that we need to check out some lesbian bars here to counter the bad karma of the time we went with Aaron to that gay bar in Wheeling, WV where I spent the whole night letting Aaron pretend we were a couple so that when skeezy men hit on him he didn't have to interact with them. Now why a straight couple would go to gay bars in fucking Wheeling WV which is the skeeziest place imaginable... Right. How glad am I to live in a city again? Sure, the pollution sucks--yesterday was "code red" and not for terrorists: the air quality was more dangerous than the terrorists for the day. But there is STUFF here. Thai restaurants and health food stores and stuff. I love it love it love it.
I went to the National Powwow the other day. It was fascinating. I realized just how much I don't know squat about Native Americans. I need to spend some serious time at the NMAI.
