Awesomeness
Sep. 20th, 2011 10:17 pmOkay, so the past week has been hugely stressful and emotional. But there's been a lot of awesomeness, too.
I got to play with
twistedchick's kitties,
zvi and I made marshmallows from scratch YUM,
coyotegestalt came over and we watched Northern Exposure, and
ambyr and I went to a really awesome, all-female cast staging of Much Ado About Nothing. (Benedict is really hot. Also, the show is highly recommended.) After a year and a half of hiding from me, yesterday Kitty climbed into my lap to be petted. And yesterday I took a sick day and hung out at Teaism in their upstairs space, reading and drinking ginger tea and eating ginger scones and looking out at the rainy city.
The huge fundraiser came off with only a few hitches, I miraculously got a bit of raise (I think? my boss was vague on when it kicks in), and tomorrow I leave for Santa Barbara to see my dad and uncle. I am looking forward to being able to talk in person with my dad; phone conversations often do not work when I have to insist that he PAY ATTENTION and possibly bonk him on the head to ensure that the attention is actually paid.
Okay, so the broad-spectrum antibiotics and the heachaches and photosensitivity are Not Fun, but I am pleasantly amazed at the sheer volume of awesomeness in my life in spite of it. :)
