Dec. 19th, 2009 03:37 pmThe snow has transformed my car into a large white lump in a field of snow with other car-lumps. I am not in Baltimore with the Young Adult Friends, nor will I be going to Alex's show tonight. Hopefully I'll be able to make it to Meeting in the morning. Fortunately I don't *have* to be anywhere until my dentist appointment on Monday.
capitola is wishing for seven feet, but two is plenty for my purposes. My flight is on Wednesday...
I have not, in fact, even gotten dressed yet. There are a thousand things around the house that I should be doing (filing three years/six boxes of unsorted papers, accumulated over the last three moves, for one) but so far I have faffed about on the internets. I shall have NO EXCUSE not to finish my Christmas cards today. But the library will not be getting my overdue books back today -- it's only a mile away, but I have no shoes except my falling-apart sneakers. Also, the books are in my car, and my car is buried in snow. So.
Sir Now Appearing In This Journal was going to go to NY this weekend, but is instead sorting through books. I have elected not to help him as we reinforce each others' "but-we-can't-throw-that-one-out-we-might-read-it-someday" tendencies. When I ordered Inferno a few months ago, he was gone for the week -- otherwise he could have told me he had four copies.
Cutest moment this morning was Jax curled up in Sir Now Appearing's lap. Sir NA is ambivalent about animals, so it was extra aww.
