Jul. 13th, 2007 09:06 amOn day 35 of her normally 30-day cycle, a woman's mantra becomes "barring immaculate conception at the whim of a bored deity, or alien abduction and impregnation, THERE IS NO WAY I CAN POSSIBLY BE PREGNANT" repeated ad infinitum.
The latter seems improbable; I might not notice, but I'm sure Emily would remark my going missing for any significant period of time--how long do alien impregnations take, anyways? As to the former, the tendency among the fashionable deities is for virgins, so I hold out hope that that's not the case either. If, however, it turns out I am carrying the son or daughter of Insert Deity Here... maybe I can get on Oprah. I hear she gives away cars.
