Jul. 13th, 2006 09:44 pmAdventures in the life of Zana today:
1) realizing, after stumbling blearily into the shower and getting all soaped up, that instead of my plastic shower flip-flops I instead put on my nice leather sandals, which are now soaking
2) so instead, being forced to don scratched-up Doc Martins (Andrei sang "one of these days these boots are gonna walk all over Australia", but I think you had to be there) for my job interview
3) fire alarm going off like a fog horn for no discernable reason; the shut-off switch is in Erik's room, which we have managed to misplace the key to, and Erik is in Vermont, so Byron broke down the door: v. entertaining
Got the job, already feeling guilty because it doesn't pay enough for it to be more than only temporary, but I refuse to work very long for any organization that doesn't provide health care as a benefit, so I can't stay...
Got a bonus at work! Money is a wonderful thing. Also learned some of the backstory for the Robert incident--he's been sacked, btw, and is firmly convinced that it is all my fault.
Daddy took me out for Ethiopian food this evening: v. good
Searched for apartments all afternoon. *le sigh*
