So, I was thinking. There are chocolate-covered strawberries, so why aren't there chocolate-covered cherries? I mean, I know there are--hell, the only way Laura and I survived junior year of high school was driving nowhere at night with her, eating boxes of chocolate-covered cherries and trying unsuccessfully to find a decent radio station. But I mean, like, fresh cherries with just chocolate. Cause the syrupy candy things bring back inexorable memories of Jason's car in the Albertson's parking lot and talking to Kirsten about dirty old men who hadn't stopped when we said no.

Anyways, moving on. I have some Matrix 2 questions. Cause it's been ages since I've seen the first, and some of the characters in the second I was just like, wait, are we supposed to know who these people are? And then the whole exposition of M2 was poorly written and I couldn't keep up. So. I had been under the impression that the whole of Zion had been destroyed. Apparently not. So who was it that was destroyed leaving only one survivor? And who the hell was the survivor? Nobody I've talked to can tell me, but they're all girls and not Matrix-obsessed so they don't really care. So, little minions, go find me the info, and put it in small words of no more than 5 letters so that I can understand.

On another Matrix note, I am totally pissed off that Descartes never gets the credit he deserves for being behind the whole Matrix idea in the first place. Then again, I am pissed off at the Christians for basing their Jesus story off of the myths around Pythagoras, and whenever I tell anybody about this their eyes glaze over and they just kinda say "Uh-huh" and edge away from the crazy girl.
[Edit: I should mention that I can't stand Descartes, but I believe in giving credit where it is due.]

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the president,
or that we are to stand by the president, right or wrong, is not
only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to
the American public." - Theodore Roosevelt

Okay, I done it. Created 2 new communities and signed a bunch of people up for them without their knowledge or consent. I am preparing for either a burst of "good idea"s or "how dare you put my name on this???"

2000 Election update: someone has sued Florida and won for their classification of 94000 African American voters as ineligable to vote, listing them as convicted felons simply because they were black. Found at www.gregpalast.com.
Apparently the news is not being aired in the States.

Just in case you haven't been informed:
At Heathrow Airport today, an individual, later discovered to be a public school teacher, was arrested trying to board a flight while in possession of a compass, a protractor, and a graphical calculator. Authorities believe he is a member of the notorious Al-Gebra movement. He is being charged with carrying weapons of math instruction.
