Mar. 1st, 2004 12:46 amWe wonnnnnnnnnnnnn!!! Squeeeee!!!!! Swept!!!!
The Talbot Fellowship cuddled and squee'd and groped and bounced (to the chagrin of the residents on the floor below), with very little lickage but much innuendo, as always.
Viggo and Orli were conspicuously not present, so we decided they must be off shagging. Dom sat next to Elijah, which I am sure will provoke much reaction from the tinhats. *happy sigh* City of God should have got something, and Johnny Depp should have won, and the girl from Whale Rider, but on the whole it was a great awards ceremony. Oh, and Lost in La Mancha should totally have been nominated for Best Documentary, but I was happy when the Fog of War film won even though I was rooting for Capturing the Friedmans because of the anti-war message, which was not only great but also really, really well and tastefully done. PJ wore shoes, and Billeh did not wear his kilt, but Kat pointed out that some fangirl no doubt will photoshop photos with him wearing it.
And now there are so many movies I really want to see!!! Monster especially, but also Girl with the Pearl Earring and Cold Mountain and Master and Commander and... just about everything that was nominated, besides LotR, I hadn't seen, except City of God which never released in the States so nobody else has seen it.
I've got to say, though, Fellowship was the best of the three, and totally should have won. Still, tonight rocked. And oh, the photos. I can't wait to see the photos.
