Laughed my ass off at Love Actually... the scene where the PM does what every person in Britain and about half of America would stand up and cheer Blair if he had the balls to do it. I remember finding Bush/Blair slash at one point--explained a few things, that did. Though I couldn't bring myself to read it, even given it was so obviously a political parody. Just. *SQUICKAGE*
Went with Emily to brave the LBT tea at Christ's house today. I bet her diningroom isn't going to be closed. Absolutely scrumptious scones with jam and cream. Felt weird identifying myself as some version of "queer"--I've never put any label on myself other than "straight today," "mostly straight," and "elfsexual" (Hugo Weaving = Zana melts in a puddle of goo) and "lapsed bisexual", but I got over it after maybe thirty seconds.
Okay. Valentine's Day is almost upon us. If I see you, I will wish you a happy Valentine's Day. If you have gotten me a Valentine, I will be happy and give you a hug. If you have not gotten me a Valentine, I will be happy and (probably) give you a hug. I appreciate getting Valentines, certainly, but I don't give them. Why? Because I don't have a great track record with the "giving Valentines gifts to friends" thing. There was the year I had carnations sent to everyone in my circle of friends. One of them took it as a "oh so you're interested in me" thing and we ended up sleeping together, then not speaking to each other for ten months. Then there was the year my girlfriend got jealous that I gave a rose to close friend. So. I'm just not going to go there. Do not feel obliged to give me candy/cards/anything whatsoever. I am giving only one Valentine, and that's just a special case. Please please please do not be offended if you give me a card and don't receive anything from me.
Today was a good day. Tomorrow I will have to post some Wordsworth. Am going to take a shower now and tear myself away from the computer.
