Update on the research paper situation: the three of us did collective research, shared it between us, then had to each write a paper about all of it. Which was ridiculous, and we asked if we could write a joint paper, since we each researched different aspects, and it was a really great paper and presentation and I learned loads. But she said no. So we each wrote up our part and sent the drafts to each other, and wrote three similar papers, structured the way our presentation was and with the same information. Which, of course, she caught, but fortunately she said "I know you three are too smart to think you'd get away with plagiarizing from a source." So. Happy ending. Silly professor for not letting us write a paper jointly.

In other news, I slept through tutoring open hours this morning, then through class, through lunch, and through a tutoring appointment. Made it to my second class. Gulliver's Travels keeps becoming more and more brilliant. I'm wishing I were a firstie so I could take a lot more English classes now.
