zana16Good news: talked to Beth. Bad news: then spent four and a half hours reading only ONE chapter of Origins of Totalitarianism. Still have to do writeups.
I was too emotionally drained after crying at Beth's to ask the Ada who had taken up residence in my carrell to give it back; I didn't have energy for if she was difficult. I read and read and read and drank much water and avoided falling asleep and read and read and read and eventually they kicked me out. I went to the campus center and they kicked me out of the Red Room as well. And of course the book ends in a rundown of all the horrors perpetrated in the concentration camps. So, drained though I am, I think I'm doing remarkably well considering that whenever I start to think, I want to throw rocket launchers at Jessica Simpson. Long story. I'm at that awful stage of wide-eyed exhausted awake that usually comes when staying up 48 hours straight, which I haven't. But still must do writeup. And the other book is simply not going to get read even though I asked for an extra week so I could read it. If I started now, I wouldn't be done with it before class tomorrow. Ah, yes: English essay will be done tomorrow night. Cause I'm going to get some sleep tonight.
