Nov. 27th, 2012 11:49 amNot sure if I've mentioned the grad school thing. I am applying to grad school in creative writing. I am applying to 15 schools. I am a little bit nuts. Also, I made this decision at the very last possible moment, so I took the GRE on Sunday. This gave me only Saturday to study, but apparently I am still very good at standarized testing. I wasn't really sure what my scores meant when I got them, but from searching online it looks like they were quite good. Standarized testing: the life skill that has no relevance in the real world. *sigh*
I'm more worried about my writing sample, since all I have written is fanfic and novels, and everyone says not to send in either. I keep telling myself I can apply again next year if I don't get in this year, but ugh.
I had the stomach flu yesterday, which was pretty awful. I did not manage to do anything all day except take the garbage out and make pomegranate jello. Apparently there is a reason pomegranate jello is not a Thing. It is surprisingly not good. Also I watched a lot of TV, but I was delirious so I don't really know whether TV is really that bad or I just didn't understand it. I slept for ten a half hours and am feeling well enough to be at work.
Back in 2007 I went to the wedding of some friends under the care of the Quaker Meeting I eventually joined. Now that we have gay marriage here in Maryland, they are getting married again, with a license! This is awesome and makes everything a little bit better.
