*very big grin*
Nov. 10th, 2010 08:17 pmSo, I thought the day was lost when I found out that Metro has cut bus service to my part of town starting in December. Yeah, that was a low.
But the day is not a wash, because I have found a place to download the first two seasons of the Spanish soap opera Maider and I used to watch everyday after school, when I lived in the Basque Country. Al salir de clase, I have waited so long for you! (Where are the DVDs, I ask?! And have been asking, ever since I first watched in 1997.) This was Spain's answer to Beverly Hills 90210, and we were totally the target audience. School let out at 2, and we ran home to have the big meal of the day, then watched ASDC. There was usually only 10 minutes left to run the mile and a half across the city back to school at 4. ...On the days that Al Salir ran long, which happened about twice a month, everyone was always late to class. The day that there was an hour special, we didn't go to class at all. God, I loved this TV show. I am damn well going to relearn Spanish to watch it. :)
