Things that are not comforting
Jun. 29th, 2010 09:20 am+ getting to Greenbelt Metro station and seeing a police tank parked in front of the entrance. I didn't even know the police had tanks.
+ the policemen with assault rifles patrolling outside the station
+ the very large police dog being brought in as I entered the station
+ the two TSA officers just inside the gates
+ the multiple policepeople on the train platform
+ the multiple policepeople per train car
I don't know what's going on. There was not a police presence at either Gallery Place-Chinatown or Metro Center, which tells me it's not a threat to the whole system.
