Moving!

So my plan was to give you all a detailed day-by-day description of my trip, starting with the SuperShuttle Ride From Hell to Washington Dulles all the way through to the N9 nightbus to Heathrow. I'm beginning to realize that this is not going to happen. I promise to give an abridged description of my trip... but not tonight. *yawns with jet-laggy woe*

One of the reasons I can't think is that I'm moving! Sir Now Appearing and I are planning to have the entire place painted by the time I move in (insert laughter here). Moving day is tentatively scheduled for the 23rd (that's a Sunday) in the afternoon, but already I am down one of the strong guys I was counting on to help me move. But I can't do the following weekend as it's the wedding party of some friends, and I have to be out of here by the end of the month.

The upshot: DC folks! If you would like to help me move, I will provide beer and other assorted alcoholic (and non-alcoholic) drinks, pizza, sexual favors and (within reason) anything else your heart desires! Most of the books have been moved already. Furniture to be moved: my desk (heavy, but comes apart if needed), three bookshelves (only one of which is heavy, though another is unwieldy), and a small kitchen table. Random boxes of assorted junk: almost -- but not quite -- infinite. Bonus: a chance to see Sir Now Appearing's place before I attack it with bleach, scrub-brushes, and grout sealant... maybe that doesn't count as a bonus.

I have a couple things going that day, but I might be able to wrap up early enough to join you for a few hours towards the end. I'll give you a call when I'm done (probably 3 or 4ish) and see if you still need help?
