In our weekly staff meeting today, Katherine brought up disaster preparedness. Her suggestion was to stockpile water, granola bars, and a battery-powered radio in case we couldn't leave the building.
I'm not saying that these are not good ideas. But we're a block from the White House. We can't get terrorism coverage through our insurance. And if a dirty bomb goes off, we're toast -- probably literally.
