Not walk at all for six months? That's my idea of a specialized hell.

Shoes... it doesn't help that I go shopping so rarely that when I've gone in the last year it seems "recently". So I was thinking, I just went shoe shopping! Last month, wasn't it... no... I bought sandals as well and they only have those in spring, so it must have been a year ago.

I shall invest in some long-lasting, comfy shoes, I think. Perhaps when I have a positive bank account balance.
